Decisions about Vaccinations need to be taken with clear information about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines, which is not as clear-cut as it may seem from Government guidelines. Making an informed choice requires that you:

    •
      • Understand the risks of the disease and weigh them against the risks associated with the vaccines.
      • Consider if the vaccine is effective enough to warrant the adverse reactions you or your child may suffer, remembering that the effectiveness of vaccines does vary.
      • Consider the role of that vaccination in controlling the disease, compared with cleaner water, better sewerage and good nutrition.
      • Avoid being bullied into your decision either for or against. (It is wise to write down, for your own benefit, why you have made that decision.)

Below is a list of commonly believed myths:

  1. Vaccines are safe ... or are they?

The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) has reported: 'In New York, only one out of 40 doctor's offices confirmed that they report a death or injury following vaccination.' That means - 97.5% of vaccine related deaths and disabilities go unreported there.

Another study, made by Viera Schiebner, Ph.D.; Vaccination: 100 Years of Orthodox Research Shows that Vaccines Represent a Medical Assault on the Immune System, 1993, found the peak incidence of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome occurred at the ages of 2 and 4 months in the U.S., precisely when the first two routine immunizations are given.

England actually saw a drop in pertussis (whooping cough) deaths when vaccination rates dropped to 30% in the mid 70's.
